The actual exhibition was in downtown Atlanta at Atlantic Station. We had never been there, but enjoyed spending time walking around after we finished at Bodies. It had underground parking, a two story Target, a Publix, multiple restaurants and shops, and brand new luxury apartments and condos. It definitely was built in an effort to revitalize downtown Atalnta and to encourage living downtown and providing everything you need within walking distance. It was very cool! Weekend Away
We decided to head to Atlanta on Friday afternoon when Mark got home from his night on call. He had both Saturday and Sunday off, and we realized that this is the first time that we've spent two days together in a row just the two of us since the beginning of November! It was fantastic! The Bodies Exhibition was in Atlanta, and we've been wanting to go for a while. So we spent the night in a hotel, slept in a little, and then went to Bodies. We loved it! We spent a few hours marveling at the dissection techniques and the amazing use of polymers to show the entire circulatory system, among many other neat things. If you have not seen this fantastic exhibit and you like the human body, we definitely recommend it. Here is the website: www.bodiestheexhibition.com. Since you are not allowed to take pictures inside, we have one of us outside the exhibition hall.
