The Beach

Last week Jake and I went to Pawley's Island, SC with my mom and sister Stephanie and stayed at the Litchfield Inn. We had a wonderful trip, good weather, great seafood, and Jake enjoyed playing with his Nana and Aunt Stephanie. Jake didn't truly get the "beach experience" but loved watching the ocean and feeling the breeze on his face. Since he puts everything into his mouth right now, I didn't think playing in the sand was a smart idea, and we decided that daddy should be there the first time Jake gets in the ocean. Here are some of our favorite pictures from the week. Thanks, Nana, for inviting us to go with you! We're so glad you could come, Aunt Stephanie. We had so much fun!

Reading with Nana. Jake loves to help turn the pages:)

The view to the south from our balcony. We saw some impressive beach homes on our daily walks down the beach- beautiful decks and ocean views.

View of the salt marsh as you approached our hotel. It was absolutely beautiful. We saw people kayaking and canoeing... maybe when Jake gets a little older.

First glimpse of the morning sun from our balcony.

Beautiful sunrise. Who wouldn't want to have this view every morning?

Jake dressed and ready for our morning walk on the beach... it was very sunny and breezy!

A true beach bum... asleep on the beach towel under an umbrella!
That's the life:)

Jake loved watching everyone on the beach from the shade of our balcony.

My favorite picture from the trip.

Jake chillin' with his hood up:)

Jake loves the feel of running water over his hands. He loved playing in the sink faucet.

Jake had a bath in the sink and wanted to lick the shiny faucet. I think playing in the sink was his favorite part of the trip!

Snuggling with Aunt Stephanie after his bath.

All ready for an adventure in his new umbrella stroller. He is such a happy boy!

Jake telling Nana that he had fun with her at the beach:)

Having fun with Aunt Stephanie before she left for Kentucky.
