No more slipcovers!

At the end of last week our new couches were delivered:) We have been looking for over a year now, and we finally found exactly what we wanted. We loved the red color of our slipcovers that we had over our old couches so we decided to be bold and actually buy red couches. We love them! Since we are living in an apartment where everything is neutral, they brighten up our living room tremendously! I must say that I am so glad to be rid of slipcovers. It was such a process to clean if Jake spit up on them... the new ones are microfiber so cleaning up is a breeze!

I still need to rehang the painting so it will be centered over the new couch:)

I am looking for something to put over the loveseat that looks like the picture below. The one below is from Pottery Barn back in 2006, I think, and I can't find it anywhere. If anyone has any ideas where to find something similar, please let me know.

Some friends came over to help move out the old couches, and they brought their new son, Kaleb. I couldn't resist getting a picture of our two little ones together. Jake is about 3.5 months old and Kaleb was just over 2 weeks old in the picture. It's hilarious! Jake looks like a giant next to this little guy. Just for comparison, Jake is about 14 pounds and Kaleb is about 6 pounds! They grow so fast in the first months:)

Beth, I LOVE the new sofa and love seat! You're right, they look GREAT in your apartment! I'm looking forward to seeing them in person. Jake just gets cuter and cuter. I think my folks are coming over in September (hopefully) so we'll have to plan another road trip! Give Mark and Jake a hug for me!

The couches are great, and as for the wall hanging you are looking for, they have many very similar to that at Hobby Lobby. I don't know if there is a store near you, but there is one in Clarksville, IN the next time you're home for a visit

The place looks great! I do have a suggestion for an iron wall hanging...try Pier 1 or go online to Grandin Road and search under "celtic wall hanging." It's not an exact match but it may work.
