sippy cup
Jake has learned how to take sips from his sippy cup all by himself. Previously he would simply open his mouth for you to raise the cup and then he would take a drink. This is probably because we taught him to drink from a regular cup (no lid) first. However, he likes to do things himself now, and I don't quite trust him with an open cup! We're still working on keeping the cup on the table and not throwing it (and lots of water) all over the place. I think I need to find a sippy cup that has a hard plastic mouthpiece because the ones we have are silicone so that it is soft on baby's tender gums. Jake just likes to bite and yank the silicone tip, and I think if it wasn't so rubbery then he might not be tempted to do this. We'll see...

Yay Jake! He sure has had a busy month! We have Playtex sippy cups - Jackson has never had an issue drinking from them and they really don't leak, even when they are thrown.
