Last weekend we had the annual resident olympics - a hot day full of fun silly games and competition. Although I was unable to win the grand prize again this year, we still had a lot of fun. Jake enjoyed being outside in the shade, but we were all glad to get back into air conditioning afterwards.
Jacob relaxed and ready for the sun
Jacob enjoyed staying cool in his classic southern sunsuit. Those are anchors on the front. Thanks, Mrs. Robinson, for the handmade quilt!
We also enjoyed a pig roast celebrating the graduation of the current third-year residents from the program here. I was on call, but fortunately the hospital was quiet so the other residents I was on call with took turns with me to go enjoy the festivities. Beth and Jake got hot in her Ergo carrier, so he got cooler and more comfortable on his blanket in a friend's wagon.
