Yippee skippee!
Yesterday Jacob was exactly seven weeks old, and he decided to give us a present. Yep, you guessed it! Jake slept through the night for the first time last night. We had gone to some friends' house for a cookout, came home and fed him at about 10pm and then didn't hear a peep from him until about quarter after six this morning! Needless to say, we were very excited! We realize that this could just be a fluke, and the real test will be whether or not he will sleep through the night again soon. We'll see how tonight goes. Regardless of tonight's outcome, we're just excited to know that it is possible and that maybe it will be a permanent occurrence soon. We'll let you know...

YEAH!!! That is such great news...I'm sure that you feel like a new woman with so many hours of sleep! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it continues!
i'm glad to hear that he slept good, i'm sure you really enjoyed it. he's a cutie!
Praying that this is permanent. Little Philip started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks. Boys are wonderful first children, believe me. If Helen had been our first, I'm not sure she would have had any additional siblings. She still doesn't sleep through the night most nights! Just check out our latest blog post to see how she ends up most mornings.
Yay!! The first time Ella slept through the night it scared me! I woke up thinking "wow I am way too rested", looked at the clock, and frantically made sure she was still breathing!!
We'll be in SC in a couple of weeks so hopefully we can see you guys and meet baby Jake!
