more visitors

Last week Mark's aunt and uncle, Suzy and Steve, came to visit us. We were honored that they wanted to spend part of their vacation with us, and Jake loved the extra attention. They brought him some new balls and a neat splash art toy that lets you create art with water. When you put the wet tip on the easel, color magically appears without the mess of paint. It won the 2006 Creative Toy Award, and it's a lot if fun. Jake thinks it's great! We were able to take Suzy and Steve out to the Park Seed Company (home of the SC Festival of Flowers in June), and they enjoyed seeing all the different varieties of flowers and plants. Thanks for coming to visit; we enjoyed having you and hope you'll come to see us again!

Checking out the flowers; he really liked the way they felt. After touching these, he was very interested in the texture of broccoli!

He really liked this water faucet. The sprinklers were on while we were there, and he was very surprised when they sprayed him:) That's why his hair looks wet (it wasn't THAT hot out!).
