Sam rolled from his stomach to his back four times yesterday! All right in a row, and I saw it every time. I think he is finally figuring it out. He only rolled to the right, which is actually quite helpful because then he stays in one place:) This due to the fact that he only rolls to the right to get onto his belly.
He nurses at 7pm and then sleeps until about 7am, usually without a peep, but sometimes still needs to be rolled back to his back after getting stuck on his belly. Hopefully this will phase out soon. His naps are still about 45 minutes, but every now and then he'll sleep for an hour or hour and a half.
He loves baths, gumming on fingers, standing up, and making noises. He is one happy boy! We love all his smiles and laughs. He is getting so big. When he's on his belly, he gets his knees up under himself. He can even turn himself on a circle. Once he decides he wants to move, he'll be gone. The past five months have flown by!
Sam talking to Gammy and making his new sound.
This is his new face- furrowing those eyebrows and pursing those lips. Hilarious! He is concentrating very hard on making those "m" sounds. Maybe he'll say mama first:)
Sam loves sitting in his bouncy seat by the balcony door and looking outside, especially if Jake is swinging on the balcony.
He gets very excited during baths; he loves kicking his feet and splashing the water. It's kind of tricky explaining to Jake why Sam is allowed to make big splashes, and he isn't. An almost two year old can make much bigger splashes than a five month old! Sam keeps the water in the tub with his splashes; Jake does not!
Two of his favorite things- standing and gumming on my fingers:)
Sam gets the biggest grin when Jake is around. He definitely loves his big brother. Jake even shared his lovey with Sam. Now that's love!
Sam got his first bottle this week. It didn't exactly go smoothly; he just wanted to gum on the nipple instead of sucking. We probably should have tried it a little sooner. Oh well. He'll get better with more practice.
Love those baby blues.
Grabbing both of those toes.
