easter and sprinkler fun

We shared a wonderful Easter lunch with some friends of ours before Mark headed in to work in the ER. It was great to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is risen! We bought some Resurrection eggs, and Jake loved playing with them. Each egg contains something that represents part of the Easter story. Jake was able to open and close each egg, telling us what each item stood for. I was able to get this on video, but it lasted about 15 minutes. Too long to post the entire video, but I'm working on making a little clip. Hopefully I can post it soon:)

I stayed at Jeremy and Karissa's with the boys all afternoon, enjoying the beautiful weather. I had packed a bunch of toys for them so they had plenty to keep them happy. In fact, it got so warm that Jake tried out the sprinkler for the first time. I had not packed any swim clothes so he ended up running around in his pull-up! He loved it! Sam enjoyed playing on his blanket in the shade. It was a great day!

Jake's favorite part of the meal was dessert. Someone else fixed his dessert plate while I was busy with Sam, and they were very generous. Jake didn't mind:)
