new trains

Jake and Sam recently acquired a new train set. Garry and Hudson had an extra set they did not need and asked if we wanted it. Although Jake got a train set for his birthday, it did not have that many track pieces so we gladly accepted this generous offer. Having extra pieces means we can build really big and cool tracks. We were quite surprised to get the boxes home and discover that this train set has lights and sounds! We built the big track in the living room and eventually rearranged Jake's room so that it would fit on his floor. He loves it!

Although Sam is too little to play with it correctly, he really tries. Mostly he just likes to tear the tracks apart, which cracks Jake up. A much better reaction that I would have expected:) Jake doesn't get frustrated; he just laughs! They have so much fun together. Thanks, Garry and Hudson, for the wonderful train set!
