small town parade

On Sunday afternoon, we enjoyed Greenwood's annual Christmas parade through Uptown. It ended at our church, South Main Street Baptist Church, where we gave away free pictures with Santa. Jake was too tired by this point to even attempt pictures, but he enjoyed the parade. It seemed as though anyone and everyone could have a float. They ranged from boy scout troops to dance studios to the John Deere dealer to the pediatric dentist in town. Mark snapped some pictures of the floats that we found particularly amusing or cute.

All bundled up... it was 43 degrees!

Jake and Daddy.

A boy scout troop acting out Santa's workshop. The boys enjoyed getting to hammer on wood pieces for the entire parade!

This float made us think of Aunt Stephanie.
We HAD to take a picture for her!

Jake liked the horses.

This little gift was so cute. It made us want to make one for Jake!
Guess he needs to learn to walk first:)

So sleepy by the end... there were about 80 floats!

The last float... Santa's Express.

Jake fell asleep in the car and didn't even wake up when we got home. We left him in his pram and just unzipped him.
He was out cold!
