Our fantastic friends here Greenwood got us a sit 'n stand stroller (technically a joovy caboose ultralight) for Sam's baby shower. Mark put it together last night, and we tried it out today on a walk with my friend Casey. It was a rousing success! Jake loved being able to go from sitting to standing and back to sitting again. I was worried that we would have to wait until the spring to use it because I thought he would be too little. However, once we established that he had to hold on to the handles even though he was buckled in, everything was great. I am so excited that it went as well as we were hoping it would!

There were some ducks in the lake, and they got out and came right over to use. Jake was beside himself saying, "Duck! Duck!" over and over again.
I think the ducks are used to being fed because they came really close and were quacking away. Sadly we didn't have anything to offer them. We'll be ready next time.
Casey has two dogs, Harper and Penny. Jake was super excited to see them and was saying Harper within minutes. Jake would run up and down the fence with the dogs chasing alongside him. he had a blast!

Our friends are letting us borrow this same stroller. When we brought it home the other day Asher was super excited about getting to ride in the back. We probably won't use it too much (too heavy to get up stairs, doesn't fit easily in a taxi/train), but I think it will be wonderful to have around.
