wedding

We had another wedding to go to this past weekend. Mike, a 2nd year in Mark's residency program, got married to Amy in Greenville at Furman University. It was a beautiful day, and we had a wonderful time. Jake and Sam both did fantastic. Mark and I actually got to visit and chat with people at the reception without having to chase Jake or worry about Sam. Karissa and Sara were more than happy to hold Sam, and we had some unexpected chaperones for Jake!

Joel (age 9) and Ben (age 5), children of one of Mark's attendings, came over to our table and asked if they could watch Jake. Jake was excited to get to hang out with some big boys, and we were happy to let them keep up with Jake (in a supervised locale, of course). They got him to dance on the dance floor, fed him food from the buffet, and follwed him around everywhere. It was priceless! Jake kept saying, "Joel. Joel." over and over again in the car on the way home. I think he had a good time!

Our new family picture, and Jake doesn't have a black eye!

Daddy and Jake waiting for the wedding to start.

Sam didn't make a peep during the whole wedding! Now Jake was a different story...

Jake loved going up and down the steps outside the church.

Joel walking with Jake.

This was Sam's original outfit, but sadly he had a major blowout and had to be changed. He had it on during the wedding itself, but he was asleep in his car seat and no one saw how cute it was. Bummer. Thanks, Sarah and Tom, for such an adorable little outfit. We love the suspenders!

Sara snuggling sweet Sam. I love how his bum is sticking out:) Too cute.

Jake, Joel, and Ben on the dance floor. Notice how they're all holding hands. This is how they were walking around the reception. Joel is a good little babysitter:)
