Last weekend we had a get together with friends from the residency program to celebrate all the July birthdays (there are a lot!). The real star of the evening was Jake's friend Kaleb who will be turning one on the 20th. He did not mess around with his cake! Jake loved playing with all of Kaleb's toys, but especially the riding toy he received for his birthday. Jake climbed in and out of it and also pushed it around the living room; I think he was showing Kaleb how it worked:) It was a fun night and lots of the new interns and their spouses came, which was awesome. Sadly Mark missed out on the fun and ice cream cake because he was on call, but we took him pizza and breadsticks so I think he was happy:)

Kaleb decided it made much more sense to just stick his face on the cake and eat it directly rather than adding an extra step and using his hands! It was hilarious! He meant business!
