birthday surprise

Mark was post-call Sunday on my birthday so he asked if we could pretend like it wasn't really my birthday. Instead he planned a surprise for yesterday and acted like it was my birthday. He really went all out in celebration of my "2nd annual 29th birthday!" First he told me to have Jake nap early because I had somewhere to be at 2pm. He had arranged for me to drop off Jake at my friend Amanda's house for him to play with her two kids while I went to the Purple Door Salon and was pampered. Mark had set up an hour massage, pedicure, and manicure! It was the best massage I've ever had! He also told me a package would be arriving at the house and that it was my outfit to wear on our date that night. He had picked it out and ordered it himself (it is what I was wearing in the 27 weeks post from last night- a knee length denim skirt and cute red sweater). Yep, he had more planned! Unbelievable! I thought the pampering at the the salon was more than enough! Another friend of mine, Trisha, brought her son Kaleb over to our house last night and watched Jake while we went to our favorite restaurant, Fusion (a Japanese, Thai, and Sushi place), for dinner. It was excellent as ususal, and the company was superb:) It was a wonderful birthday! Thank you everyone for all your help in making my "birthday" such a wonderful day!
