The second thing was to have Jake walking up and down the stairs to our second floor apartment, leaving my hands free to carry groceries and, in the near future, Sam in his infant car seat. Well, Jake has been able to climb up the stairs for a few weeks, but he has now mastered walking down the stairs on his own two feet without any help. He is such a big boy! I know this will make the transition with Sam go so much more smoothly, as Jake doesn't want to be carried and wants to do it all by himself!

stairs
I can now check the second thing I wanted accomplished before Sam arrives off the list. The first was to have Jake sleeping on a twin mattress for naps and through the night without getting out of the bed. This has been done for about three weeks now, and he's doing fantastic! His afternoon nap is back to two hours, and he sleeps all night long without any problems:)
