trip to the dentist

Jake had his second dentist appointment last week, and everything looked great! He has 14 teeth; we're waiting on his lower canines to come in and then we have two year molars next. He definitely has a mouthful. Since his teeth touch, we were told we need to be flossing his teeth, which we promptly started doing. He wasn't so sure about flossing at first, but he realized we were going to do it regardless so now he just opens his mouth when we ask him to. This is the first time I've ever flossed someone else's teeth, and it's a little awkward. It's definitely a two person job, so if Mark's not home at night we skip the flossing:)

Jake loves trains (aka "choo choos") and cars. He was very excited to play at this table in the waiting room before they called us back.

The waiting room also had a little touch screen computer that had games on it for the older kids. Jake had to try it out after watching an older boy play on it. He thought he was big stuff!

Sitting in the chair waiting to have his teeth cleaned. They actually used the same type of instrument that they use on adults to clean his teeth this time. Last time they just used a toothbrush.

They gave him a balloon after his appointment, and he didn't want to let go of it. He held onto it while he climbed the whole flight of stairs.

Showing off his balloon.
