14 weeks

Much has happened in the past week. Sam is no longer swaddled and even falls asleep without a pacifier sometimes! It was as though something just clicked when he hit three months. He kept breaking free of the swaddle despite the velcro and it being incredibly tight, so we put him to bed without it. And he slept! He nurses around 7pm and then is down for the night. He gets a ghost feed around 10- 10:30pm and then sleeps until 5:30 or so when I nurse him again. He goes back to bed until around 8am or so, and then he is up for the day. He usually takes three or four 45 minute naps during the day.

He rolled over twice on Tuesday and multiple times yesterday. This was the first time since he did it four times in one night when he was a week old. He is batting at dangling objects and loves to grab onto things with his hands. Sometimes he just holds his hands up to his face and stares at them. It's priceless. He loves to put his fingers in his mlouth- sometimes he manages to get his whole fist in! He also really enjoys tracking objects with his mobiles. Sam is such a happy boy; he laughs and smiles all the time!

He loves to have his fingers in his mouth. I think this is what motivated him to break the swaddle habit:)

All smiles on the changing table. It's his favorite place!

Enjoying the exersaucer.

Jake loves Sam's floor gym and always wants to be under it with Sam.

This is how Sam likes to sleep now- on his side. He moves all over the crib!

I actually was able to catch Sam rolling over on video (after numerous attempts!). Enjoy!
