Well, we got back last Sunday evening from a long Christmas vacation to Kentucky. I am finally caught up on laundry and unpacking so I thought I would attempt to recap all of the festivities from our trip.
Jake and Sam both traveled very well in the car. We borrowed a friend's DVD player, but we only used it once on the trip up. Woohoo! Sam met lots of family for the first time. Jake practiced saying everyone's name before our trip and was correctly identifying people in no time. He even came up with his own names for Mark's parents: Gammy and Papa. They loved them!
Sadly we brought an unwelcome gift along with us- a GI bug:( Our best guess is that Jake picked it up from the gym nursery. I took the boys to the gym on Tuesday for the first time since Sam was born, and Jake got sick during the night on Wednesday. So sorry to all who got sick!
I'll post pictures and more details from all of our stops in subsequent posts so that it won't be one ridiculously long post with too many pictures!
