This extra year will give me added training and qualification for management of all things sports from ankle sprains to compartment syndrome to sudden cardiac death. To work at the upper levels of collegiate sports or beyond, and to work as a consultant for other physicians, this level of training is becoming the standard and nearly a requirement. I will work primarily in our Sports Medicine Center where we see all types of problems, working with Erskine College, Lander University, and Wofford College, as well as taking care of the same high school I have covered for the past 2 football seasons (McCormick County).
Probably the best part of the extra time we will spend here will be working under two doctors who are already mentors as physicians and Godly men. I have already learned and grown through their mentoring and example, and look forward to continued time working even more closely with both of them.
A promo shot with the Lander University women's soccer team after a big win with Mark Leski (one of the program directors), me, and one of my fellow residents, Chris.
