We started giving Jake a blanket a couple weeks ago, and he was doing fantastic. He would snuggle up with it and look precious. Well, lately, he's decided that the blanket must surely be meant to completely cover his face. Every time we go in to check on him, it looks as if he's trying to suffocate himself. He's always breathing fine, but it makes us a little nervous. We've even woken him up while trying to disentangle him from his blanket. For now, his blanket privileges have been revoked until further notice!
The progression:
Appropriate use. Snuggling his blanket so innocently. He had us fooled:)
Getting close to the fine line between appropriate and inappropriate. Using his blanket as a pillow of sorts.
Crossing the line into inappropriate use. Covering his head with the blanket.
Flagrant misconduct. Wrapping himself up in his blanket like a burrito! Bye, bye, blanket!
