lions, and tigers, and bears! oh, my!

On the way back from hiking, our car saw a bear! Yes, that's right! First we saw a lot of trash in front of one of the cabins near ours and thought, "Oh, a bear or raccoon must have gotten in that last night." We never expected to see a bear while it was daylight. Maybe at dusk, but definitely not right then. Yet there he was! It was so close to us; luckily we were in the car so we weren't worried. Needless to say, we took some pictures and then rushed back to tell everyone else. By the time they jumped in their cars and drove to where we saw the bear, he was already gone. Thankfully we had pictures, otherwise they may not have believed us!

After he climbed onto the fence we thought we might get to see him climb the tree, but de decided to go up onto the cabin porch instead!
